About Seasonal UBU Programs

UBU Empowers Young Girls

UBU's spring & fall weekly program is an active wellness set of progressional sessions (not drop-in) for young girls to help them grow peer connections through physical activity and communication. It empowers them to build positive lifelong habits for their overall well-being.

UBU's Founder leads most sessions while qualified guest instructors take on some that involve their area of expertise: connecting with nature, yoga, dance, speed training, injury prevention, etc.

Parents/guardians are kept in the loop of activities with weekly emails/updates along with surveys (for girls and guardians) to determine baselines at the beginning of sessions, midway, and after to collect qualitative data.

Spring/Fall 2019 Session Dates

Spring/Fall UBU Programs run weekly for a consecutive 6-10 weeks on weekdays after school for girls in Grades 6-8 (max. 12 participants per program). These are not drop-in classes, must commit to full 6-10 weeks involving group activities that encourage overall, wholistic well-being.

2019 spring/fall dates are being set. STAY TUNED!!!

What is UBU's 'Why'?

You be You Wellness (UBU) emphasizes the need for girls to just be themselves. Be you. The program helps girls be proud of their individual talents, acknowledge their challenges, and voluntarily be more physically active to boost lifelong healthy habits.

UBU emphasizes the idea to young girls that if they take care of themselves by moving more and supporting one another, the combination will positively impact their overall well-being.
